Children's possibility is infinitly expanded depending on ordinary life of here.

Staffs

This is a new orphanage so we try to manage everything by way like volunteer support, charity program … ... Exactly, we have some staff and they are working with different responsibility.The Director, a cook (Kitchen sister, who cook rice, vegetable for our children) and one tuition teacher and one hostel warden are working from the beginning of this organization. It should be note that the staff have backgrounds similar to the children. One of them was poor and others lost contact with their families and had no support. This is the reason why the staff lives at Possible Nepal. Every staff is very serious in their duties and responsibility which help to develop this organization.

A. Director Mr. Kapil Devkota.

The director Mr. Kapil Devkota is also the president of Possible Nepal. Try to find regular and sustainable support. Using it in suitable place with effective way, coordinating with different organization, community and volunteer for the better future of children and organization. He works on administrative aspects (monthly progress report, project… … …) . He is also regularly present in POSSIBLE NEPAL to take care of the children, to manage the staff and to overlook the good running of the orphanage. In addition, he is in charge of training and briefing the volunteer works.

B. Tuition Teachers

This staff is always concerning with the problem of children. Note out the name of thing which children need and inform about it to administrative desk. Help them to do their school homework, play with children, try to know the individual problem of children, teach them about the rules and regulation of organization and civilization are his main responsibility. One of teachers is also a college student, every morning he is busy to go to his college and rest of the time, he use for children.

C. Cook

She is mainly working as a cook. It includes a lot of responsibility for a family of nearly eleven children. She prepares meals three time in a day a day. Manage the kitchen and the food supply. She is although in charge of cleaning the dining room the kitchen and communal rooms as well as the general upkeep of PN.

Children

As a shelter and orphanage we must follow government directives about the child welcome process. POSSIBLE NEPAL is always search for children according to this criterions table because we are registered in District Administrative Office (DAO) and Associated with Social Welfare council (SWC) .

Orphan No father, No Parents and no any property.
Semi- Orphan Only one parent and no support
Helpless Parents live in a critical situation (no property) and cannot support their children.
The poorest Parents are very poor and are unable to provide proper food and are unable to send children to school.

Picking up children from difficult situations

We start to welcome children in the first week of April - 2012.We have plan to pick up ten real orphan children in this home. Children must be come from different parts of Nepal (Gorkha, Chitwan, Dhading , Ramechhap, Humla , Rolpa and … … … any part of Nepal) and the majority is semi- orphanage or come from broke or destitute families.

If the children who we pick up them in orphanage home from different communities and they have their relatives and we try to maintain family links. Indeed, children keep in touch with their relatives.

Welcome Process:

Thanks to the information giving by different sectors about the children, we visited several places and met people who support the children. We had collected all type of details.

  • Children identity (Family name, date and place of birth, condition of health, particularity … … …)
  • Family background of children (history, difficulties faced, parents life style, income source of family)
  • Education ( who support before, school, level and problem which child faced and school access… … … )

    We took the different information about children, his condition, situation and … … … from local people, local organization, relatives of child, related police station and we think about the child pick up. When we think about pick up the child then we inform about our organization to the family who is supporting child.

    After we found the legal government documents (Citizenship certificate that look after child, birth certificate, A letter from local government office which proved that this child need support, two PP size picture) then reach an agreement with the legal custodian of the child, which attests that this child needs our support. The process of entry controlled by center children welfare committee.

  • Healthcare:

    Currently, the children are at an age where they are the most vulnerable. We try to protect them as well as possible, by providing a self environment.

    Environment:

    Generally, the children have a correct state of health except for the child Arun and Anmita ,Because of his previous morphology and previous diseases, he often get sick. This happens mostly during the change of seasons, where children usually get sick or catch a cold but our warm room will help children to safe from cold. Most of the time of our children spent inside the rooms. We set out to give them warm clothes, often received by donations.

    Definition of supporter
    Volunteer It means a person who work for children in our orphanage for more than 5 days.Some of them remotely work for children after leaving here.
    Visitor It means a person who temporary visit our orphanage to meet children or investigation our organization.
    Sponsor It means a person who continuously provide finacial support to a specific child.

    Volunteers

    The running of POSSIBLE NEPAL is aided by the help of Nepali and international volunteers. These volunteers use their specific skills to help in, and in the shelter as careers for the children. Some of our volunteers also assist us by purchasing pencils, textbooks and crayons for the children, as well as organization special events such as birthday parties.

    POSSIBLE NEPAL relies upon the Nepali volunteers as its key teachers in the school.

    Visitors

    The organization receives visitors who have heard about POSSIBLE NEPAL. thanks to the network which is created by members, staff, volunteers and other organizations. These visitors often come for a day to see the work of POSSIBLE NEPAL and may choose to give financial support, school utensils, toys and attention to the children.

    Sponsor

    Due to the fluctuating nature of donations it makes planning for the long term of the organization difficult. Therefore it is very important to have people who engage in a monthly financial sponsoring for a child.
