Hi!
I just spent 3 weeks in Possible Nepal. That was such an amazing experience.
This is a small orphanage, with barely 10 kids (between 5 and 13 years old). Due to it, I could build real relation-ships with almost all the children, that was lovely. Basically, my work consisted in helping the children doing their homework: in the morning before they go to school (yes they work before school !!) and mostly in the evening after school. I played with them also, they had like a "rest time" before starting working after school, and those were the moments I preferred because we could really start to know each other. The place is cute, I had a nice bedroom upstairs that I shared with another volunteer. I am really happy that I could go to their school to teach English in the morning, otherwise I think I would have been boring during the day-time because the children of the orphanage are at school. It was plus a real chance to discover how a Nepali school works. Possible Nepal is new so that is for the moment quite unknown, but all I can say is do not hesitate to join them because the children are amazing kids, it worth's it !!!

I spend three weeks in the orphanage of Possible Nepal. It was lovely to stay here, it is a small structure (10 children, one lady in the kitchen and a young Nepalese student helping the children) so it is easy to feel integrated. The children are very cute and nice. I played with them, helped them with their homework, helped them getting ready for school and took them to school too. They are between 5 and 13years old so they are independent but it is nice to play and have laugh with them.

The fact that I was also helping at school was great, I felt useful and I discovered Nepalese school. It is very different from French school. Going to school was a good thing because when the children are at school you don't have much to do. On the afternoon I sometimes helped the President of PN but not always or not for a very long time, so it is good to have stuff to do because if you don't you can be boring.

The orphanage is in a peaceful neighborhood of KTM which is nice because you felt as you are in a village but if you need anything it is nearby. You can also go in the center of the city by bus; it is not very far away.

Well just to say that I had an amazing time, playing with the children, learning to know them and living as Nepalese people! Even if it was hard to see the poverty (Possible Nepal is a new organization so not well known, there are no much donations) it was such a wonderful experience.
